"skill_md_contents": "---\nname: hook-variants\ndescription: Create complete performance ad videos with different opening hooks through OpenArt MCP from a product brief, reference images, or prompts. Develop the full ad first, generate one base video, then generate replacement hooks and assemble each with the same accepted body. Use for finished hook variants, including UGC-style performance ads, without requiring an original video. All versions have no background music.\n---\n\n# OpenArt Hook Variants\n\nRead [shared video experience](references/video-experience.md) first. This skill builds on Performance Ads\ncraft: understand the product and audience, create a persuasive complete ad, then vary its opening.\nRead [hook production](references/hook-production.md) before planning the set or submitting any generation.\nDefault delivery is five complete videos: one base ad plus four replacement-hook versions, not six\nvideos or five isolated openings. Honor a different requested count. An original video is not required.\nAll base, hook and final videos are unscored: no BGM, musical beds or musical stings. Keep needed speech,\nproduct sounds and natural ambience. This scoped sound policy also applies to Draft previews.\n\nBefore interpreting any brief, script or timecoded draft, read\n[intent and script development](references/intent-and-script-development.md). Preserve the intended message,\nrequired facts and exact keywords; actively improve expression, reasoning, actions and flexible beat timing\nin this skill's style. Input detail is not an instruction to execute verbatim. Explicit exact-execution\nconstraints and an approved version requested unchanged remain locked.\n\nWhen the Script Plan revises supplied creative input, END that response by briefly explaining what changed\nand why, then ask whether to use the revised script or follow the original input exactly. Resolve that\nversion choice before generation under [generation approval](references/generation-approval.md);\na Draft/full-quality choice alone is not acceptance of the rewrite.\n\nBefore authoring, read [shared video experience](references/video-experience.md) and\n[product understanding](references/product-understanding.md). Before a generation decision, read\n[generation approval](references/generation-approval.md), including native question UI and wording examples.\nComplete the full prompt and its matching readable Script Plan before showing either for approval; keep\nall spoken and on-screen text in that same version. Default to Seedance 2.5 Draft preview; explicit\nhigh-quality/full-quality delivery defaults directly to Seedance 2.5. Reuse clear approval or an explicit\napproval waiver. These shared rules own the experience flow across every video and variant.\nFor presenter-led promotions, also read [opening hooks](references/opening-hooks.md): establish relevance\nin the first 3–5 seconds and show the product from the first image without forcing a spoken brand pitch.\n\nRead the entrypoint and these shared workflow guides, then follow the relevant references linked below.\nSupporting Markdown is loaded on demand, not automatically in full. Read reference-analysis guides\nfor uploaded reference videos, product research for product URLs, direction before authoring, OpenArt\nexecution before fixing references, duration or request counts, and review before acceptance. Follow nested\nlinks when that decision requires them.\n\nMake a feed ad that gives the intended audience a reason to stop, understand the product and take the requested\nnext step. These are different decisions; do not optimize only the opening. Follow the user's brief and accepted\nchoices before defaults. Presenter footage, stickers, large text, fast cuts and a CTA are not universal requirements.\n\nSee [README](README.md) for installation and output. Match the user's conversation language. Use the requested\nspeech/text languages; when unspecified, infer them from the brief and record material assumptions.\nCreative directions may default to English without changing the commissioned dialogue.\n\nBefore authoring or revising prompts, read [creative preflight](references/creative-preflight.md).\nProduct images and a short brief are a valid starting point; actively design progression and\nperformance within this skill's boundary. Audit the final prompt for unjustified restrictions before submission.\n\n## Locate the task and evidence\n\nUse [intake](references/intake.md) to identify new creation, approved-plan execution, reference adaptation,\noutput repair, or variants. Resume prior work through [project memory](references/project-memory.md).\nDo not replace an approved concept merely because a different hook occurs to you.\n\nFor supplied ads, use [reference understanding](references/reference-understanding.md) to examine the entire\npiece and sound, including product recognition, evidence and payoff. Use\n[product and claims](references/product-and-claims.md) for appearance, offers, testimonials and supported claims.\n\n## Direct the ad\n\nUse [creative direction](references/creative-direction.md) to connect attention to one main communication goal.\nChoose action, demonstration, situation, comparison, humor, sensory detail or graphics according to the task.\nUse [sequence and prompts](references/sequence-and-prompts.md) to assign a role to each shot, word and sound.\nRead [music and sound](references/music-and-sound.md). Explicitly plan no BGM in the complete base prompt,\nevery replacement-hook prompt and final assembly. Keep voice and useful natural sounds coherent.\n\nFor alternative hooks, use [continuity and variants](references/continuity-and-variants.md). Identify the\nopening variable and the body, message, offer, CTA and assets held constant. Develop genuinely different\nopening ideas, not just synonyms. A new concept or body is a separately reviewed change, not a hook variant.\n\n## Execute and review\n\nApply [OpenArt execution](references/openart-execution.md), read while planning. Resolve live capabilities, real\nreference bindings and authorized generation scope. Complete video requests with generation when feasible;\nhonor prompt-only and analysis requests without submitting jobs.\nUse OpenArt MCP for image, video and audio generation and every other needed operation it supports.\nSelect supplementary tools only for operations OpenArt MCP does not provide. This routing requirement\ndoes not add audio jobs or relax the no-BGM policy; generate only the approved necessary material.\n\nGenerate and accept the complete base ad first. Generate only the additional approved openings next;\nreuse the accepted base body as actual media in every variant. Local assembly is part of this skill:\nfollow [assembly and seam review](references/assembly-and-seams.md). Use OpenArt MCP when it supports the\nrequired operation; otherwise choose an available editor such as FFmpeg. No composition engine or fixed\nexecutable command is bundled. Do not regenerate the whole ad\nfor each hook or substitute prompt similarity for real body reuse.\n\nUse [review and delivery](references/review-and-delivery.md) for product/message clarity, actual text and sound,\ncreative intent and variant integrity. Deliver selected videos with prompts, task/settings/reference records\nand honest QA. Include the base/body range and hook-to-export mapping. Review every assembled full video,\nnot only generated openings. A creative hypothesis is not a verified conversion improvement.\n"
