# Privacy Policy

Effective date: 15 July 2026

Career Command Center is a local macOS application and Codex workflow published by Mehmet Riza Arseven. It does not use a developer-operated server, user account, analytics service, advertising service, or telemetry system.

## Data the Plugin Uses

The workflow may use information that you choose to place in your Career Command Center workspace, including:

- CVs, transcripts, certificates, recommendations, project reports, and portfolio material.
- Answers entered during onboarding, such as contact details, work preferences, target locations, and role categories.
- Source citations, personalized evidence questions, user responses, and Codex review decisions created during the document audit.
- Job and PhD posting details, application status, notes, generated CVs, and cover letters.
- Search and automation settings.

## Where Data Is Stored

The companion app stores its configuration and application state in the workspace you select. It does not upload files on its own. The publisher does not receive a copy of your workspace.

When you ask Codex to audit documents, search for opportunities, or generate application materials, Codex processes the files and instructions needed for that request under the privacy and data controls of the OpenAI product you are using. This policy does not replace OpenAI's own privacy terms.

## Network Access and Third Parties

Career Command Center has no publisher-operated network service. At your request, Codex may browse public employer pages, job boards, university pages, and other sources. Opening a posting or application link sends you to that third party, whose privacy policy applies.

The workflow does not submit applications, send email, contact recruiters, or upload documents to third-party services without a specific user request and any approval required by Codex.

## Retention and Deletion

Your files remain in the workspace until you remove them. The app can archive or delete opportunity records. Permanent deletion keeps only a minimal deduplication marker so the same posting is not suggested again. Generated application files are not deleted automatically.

Uninstalling the plugin or app does not delete your chosen workspace. You control that folder through macOS and may remove it separately.

## Security

No software can guarantee absolute security. Keep sensitive career documents in a location with appropriate macOS account and disk protections. Review generated material before sharing it with an employer.

## Changes

Material changes to this policy will be documented in the repository and reflected by a new effective date.
