# Terms of Use _Last updated: August 3, 2026_ These terms apply to taskplane, an open-source local developer tool published by Volodymyr Demkiv. ## License taskplane is provided under the Apache License 2.0. Your installation and use of the software are governed by that license. If these terms conflict with the Apache License 2.0 regarding your rights to use, copy, modify, or distribute the software, the license controls. ## Local operation and third-party services taskplane runs in a supported host coding agent and operates on files and Git repositories that you choose. You are responsible for reviewing proposed changes, approval gates, commands, and outputs before relying on them. The host coding agent, model provider, source-code host, and any tools you ask the agent to use are independent third-party services governed by their own terms. taskplane does not provide or control those services. ## Your responsibilities You must have permission to access and modify every repository, system, and data source on which you use taskplane. Do not use taskplane to violate law, third-party rights, service terms, workplace policy, or security controls. taskplane's contracts and command screening are defense-in-depth guardrails, not an operating-system security boundary. Keep the host sandbox and approval controls enabled and review material or destructive actions. ## No warranty taskplane is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis, without warranties or conditions beyond those required by applicable law. AI-generated plans, reviews, and code may be incomplete or incorrect and require human review. ## Limitation of liability To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the author is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, revenue, or business opportunity arising from use of the software. ## Changes and contact Material changes will be published in this repository. Questions about these terms may be sent to Volodymyr Demkiv at vdemkiv@gmail.com.
