# Mission

okrdev exists to make focus the default in the age of cheap execution: an OKR-obsessed
operating framework where an AI coach keeps humans working on the few things that matter and
catalogs everything else instead of chasing it. Success is teams — technical and non-technical
alike — shipping the right work, on rails that make the wrong work hard.

## Strategy right now

Prove the framework by living in it. okrdev is at v0.1.0: complete, installable, unproven. The
job this cycle is not more features — it's evidence. Dogfood okrdev on okrdev and on at least
one real outside project, find where the method chafes in actual use, and fix what the real
world (not a critique panel) surfaces. Adoption friction is the enemy: every hour between "I'm
curious" and "I parked my first idea" is where interest dies. Keep the surface small, the
install fast, and the coach genuinely useful rather than nagging.

## Bets this year

- The scarce resource really is deciding what not to build — teams will pay attention (and
  eventually money) for a coach that enforces focus without blocking them.
- Dogfooding produces sharper improvements than any amount of up-front design. Real weeks beat
  imagined ones.
- Non-technical DRIs shipping real changes end-to-end is the wedge that makes okrdev more than
  "OKRs in markdown."
