A campaign about the platform's features would fail; a campaign about why human connection matters could reframe the conversation from "what Facebook does" to "why people need each other." ## Mechanic Long-form films showing the moments when people who had lost touch with each other — by distance, by time, by circumstance — found each other again through the platform. The stories are human; the technology is invisible. ## Why it worked Long-form drama (P16): the emotional credibility of connection stories requires time. The campaign positions the platform as infrastructure for human need rather than as a product. Invisible technology is the correct communication strategy when the technology itself is under attack — make the benefit visible, not the mechanism. ## Steal When your brand is under reputational attack, the most defensible position is the one that argues from human need rather than brand feature. Show what people lose when the product disappears, not what the product does when present. ## Related - Pattern: [[../MOC-pattern.md#p16]] - Sibling: [[apple-1984-1984.md|1984]] - Sibling: [[apple-think-different-1997.md|Think Different]] - Emotion match: [[metro-trains-dumb-ways-to-die-2012.md|Dumb Ways to Die]] --- *Author: Serge Shima ([t.me/aimastersme](https://t.me/aimastersme) · [sergeshima.com](https://sergeshima.com) · [aimasters.me](https://aimasters.me)) · License: CC BY 4.0 — attribution required · Source: [smixs/creative-director-skill](https://github.com/smixs/creative-director-skill)*
