# Surgeon (Clash of Clans · 2015)

## Insight
Serious professionals who play mobile games during off-hours represent an under-acknowledged audience. The contrast between a high-stakes real-world identity and a raiding fantasy game creates productive absurdity.

## Mechanic
A spot in the Clash of Clans campaign series featuring a surgeon character in a surgical setting, treating the mobile game with the same gravity as a real-life high-stakes scenario. Part of the wider "even people like you play" execution family.

## Why it worked
Part of the "Revenge" campaign ecosystem, this execution extended the core insight — anyone can be drawn into Clash — into professional archetypes. The juxtaposition of the surgeon's gravitas and the game's stakes generated quick recognition and shareability.

## Steal
When the audience is broader than the stereotype, use archetype contrast to expand perceived relevance without changing the product. Show the unexpected player, not the expected one.
