# It's Mine (Coca-Cola · 2008)

## Insight
A Coke balloon floating through a crowd becomes a shared object of desire — everyone wants it, but that wanting is playful rather than competitive. The product unites the crowd even as individuals chase it.

## Mechanic
An animated Super Bowl spot featuring a giant Coca-Cola balloon floating through a parade, with various characters — including Stewie and Charlie Brown from rival network productions — pursuing it. The chase is festive rather than aggressive.

## Why it worked
The animated format removes brand category risk while delivering charm at scale. Featuring characters from competing entertainment properties (a cheeky stunt) generates cross-brand attention. The balloon as shared object of desire is a visual metaphor for the product's universal appeal without stating it.

## Steal
When your product has genuine universal desirability, visualize that desirability as a physical object that everyone pursues — not competitively, but joyfully. The chase should feel like play, not conflict. The shared wanting is the brand truth.
