# Time Upon a Once (GE · 2015)

## Mechanic
A fairy-tale film format applied to industrial innovation — narrated as a fable, scored as epic cinema, following the lifecycle of a GE technology from concept to world-changing application. The contrast between the humble "once upon a time" register and the genuine scale of industrial transformation produced unexpected emotional resonance.

## Insight
B2B brands rarely earn emotional attention because they speak in ROI language. GE's actual work — jet engines, wind turbines, medical imaging — is genuinely epic in human terms. The barrier is tone, not content.

## Why it worked
The fairy-tale register disarmed B2B skepticism. By treating engineers as heroes and turbines as dragons slain, GE translated industrial achievement into the oldest emotional grammar humans have: the story. Craft execution matched the ambition.

## Steal
For B2B brands with genuinely epic products, the problem is never content — it's register. Industrial achievements told in financial language are inert. The same achievements told in narrative grammar become cinema.
