What if ING demonstrated the power of data by doing something no one believed possible: painting a new Rembrandt? ## Mechanic 18 months, 168,263 Rembrandt fragments analyzed by deep-learning AI. The result: a brand-new Rembrandt painting — same style, same period, same subject — 3D-printed and exhibited. ING positioned as the enabler of impossible creative acts. ## Why it worked Tech as canvas meets design as idea: the project was simultaneously a genuine art-world event and an ad. The AI process was the story; the painting was the proof. It occupied news, galleries, and tech press simultaneously — sectors a financial brand never reaches. ## Steal Use data/AI to create something that belongs in culture rather than media. The project must be genuinely worth discussing outside the advertising context. If it only works as an ad, it hasn't reached this level. ## Related - Pattern: [[../MOC-pattern.md#p18]] - Sibling: [[snickers-hungerithm-2016.md|Hungerithm]] - Sibling: [[tuvalu-the-first-digital-nation-2022.md|The First Digital Nation]] - Emotion match: [[guinness-surfer-1999.md|Surfer]] --- *Author: Serge Shima ([t.me/aimastersme](https://t.me/aimastersme) · [sergeshima.com](https://sergeshima.com) · [aimasters.me](https://aimasters.me)) · License: CC BY 4.0 — attribution required · Source: [smixs/creative-director-skill](https://github.com/smixs/creative-director-skill)*
