The Times frames truth not as a luxury but as a precondition for life as we know it. ## Mechanic A campaign arguing that the capacity to agree on facts is foundational to all human endeavor — medicine, parenting, policy, love. Truth is framed not as an abstract virtue but as an operational necessity. Film format conveys the stakes through lived consequences. ## Why it worked Truth telling (P13): the argument is made through concrete examples of what breaks down when truth is absent — more persuasive than abstract appeals to journalistic values. The framing as necessity rather than ideal makes the ask (subscribe, trust us) feel rational rather than righteous. ## Steal When arguing for the importance of your category, argue from necessity not from virtue. "Life needs X" is a stronger frame than "X is good." What breaks down when your product disappears is more compelling than what it provides when present. ## Related - Pattern: [[../MOC-pattern.md#p13]] - Sibling: [[apple-1984-1984.md|1984]] - Sibling: [[calm-the-last-photo-2022.md|The Last Photo]] --- *Author: Serge Shima ([t.me/aimastersme](https://t.me/aimastersme) · [sergeshima.com](https://sergeshima.com) · [aimasters.me](https://aimasters.me)) · License: CC BY 4.0 — attribution required · Source: [smixs/creative-director-skill](https://github.com/smixs/creative-director-skill)*
