It's inevitable, universal, and secretly terrifying — especially when it comes to homeowner habits. Insurance exists at exactly the life stage when this transformation happens. ## Mechanic Dr. Rick, a "parentamorphosis" specialist, helps new homeowners avoid turning into their parents through absurd therapeutic interventions. The recurring character runs across a long campaign of spots treating the joke seriously. ## Why it worked The serialised character creates appointment viewing in a category (insurance) that generates zero organic interest. The insight (becoming your parents) is universally recognised without being mean. The absurdist therapeutic framing keeps the execution fresh across many executions. ## Steal Find the universal human anxiety that coincides exactly with your product's moment of purchase. Build a recurring character around it. The ritual of recognising yourself in the joke IS the brand relationship. ## Related - Pattern: [[../MOC-pattern.md#p11]] - Sibling: [[metro-trains-dumb-ways-to-die-2012.md|Dumb Ways to Die]] - Sibling: [[old-spice-man-your-man-could-smell-like-2010.md|The Man Your Man Could Smell Like]] - Emotion match: [[absolut-absolut-campaign-1981.md|Absolut _____]] --- *Author: Serge Shima ([t.me/aimastersme](https://t.me/aimastersme) · [sergeshima.com](https://sergeshima.com) · [aimasters.me](https://aimasters.me)) · License: CC BY 4.0 — attribution required · Source: [smixs/creative-director-skill](https://github.com/smixs/creative-director-skill)*
