"longDescription": "Plain English tightens ai writing. Paste prose and it flags each weak sentence with a fix and hands back a cleaned version. \n\nThe problem is old. In 1946 George Orwell wrote Politics and the English Language against prose that hides meaning: passive voice, abstract nouns, Latin where a plain word would do, metaphors dead from overuse. In 1948 Sir Ernest Gowers wrote Plain Words for the British civil service and turned the same instinct into working rules. Between them they solved most of it. Language models then added a dialect of their own: em-dashes everywhere, words like delve and leverage, preamble, summary closers, lists padded to three, stacked hedges, \"studies show\" with no study. So the skill runs two passes, Orwell and Gowers first, then the model habits. Your meaning and voice stay.\n\nThe plugin also includes Simple English, a separate skill for technical documentation. It follows ASD-STE100, the controlled language aerospace has written maintenance manuals in since 1986. Documentation goes there; prose with a voice goes to Plain English. The two never run on the same text..",
