# Privacy policy

Effective 18 August 2026.

Plain English is a skills-only plugin. It has no server, user accounts, analytics, advertising, telemetry, or external data store. The plugin does not independently collect, retain, sell, or transmit personal information.

Text and files supplied to Claude Code, Codex, or ChatGPT are processed by the host product under that product's privacy policy and account settings. Plain English only supplies instructions that tell the host model how to audit, rewrite, or edit prose.

If a future version adds network services or data collection, this policy will be updated before that version is published.
