This guide is shared by Codex and Claude Code. Work from this KB root. Project
facts and progress live here; reusable procedures come from installed plugins.

## Start with the task

1. Read [project state](PROJECT_STATE.md) and the linked active-work checkpoint.
2. Read only the relevant domain context/canonical owner. Use the
   [domain index](00_System/Domain%20Index.md) when ownership is unclear.
3. Load only the installed workflow needed for the request. Read source evidence
   or history when the task requires verification, migration or investigation.

Use the user's language in conversation and English for canonical notes unless
an accepted project policy changes this. Chat history is working context.
Do not infer design approval, implemented behavior or source access from it.

machine's cache path or copy the plugin into the KB.

## Writing and collaborating

- Honor authorized scope; audit-only work returns findings. A confirmed durable
  decision is persisted without requiring another request to update the KB.
- Keep one canonical owner per fact. Separate proposals, accepted intent,
  temporary assumptions and observed implementation. Preserve explicit unknowns.
- Before editing, read the active work record and latest target files. Claim the
  task's scope/files and executing agent using the [work protocol](00_System/Work/Index.md).
  Coordinate overlapping edits; a Markdown claim is advisory, not an atomic lock.
- Update existing owners, affected context/indexes and the work checkpoint.
  Read back changes; do not overwrite another agent's intervening edits.
- End a phase with completed work, decisions, changed files, blockers and next
  action recorded in the checkpoint. Another agent must continue without the chat.
- Keep current-state notes compact. Historical evidence stays outside the default
  startup route. Apply deterministic lint when available and label untested checks.

This KB does not grant permission to create accounts, install integrations,
publish files, set up sync or change the game's code/build environment.
