# SimCorner catalog guide

Use this reference to interpret SimCorner terminology and company context. Treat it as a research snapshot from 2026-09-21, not as a price or availability source. Re-check the exact official product page before recommending a plan.

## Company and customer journey

- SimCorner describes itself as an Australian travel-connectivity business based in Melbourne, offering eSIMs and tourist SIM cards across 200+ destinations.
- The normal journey is: choose a compatible eSIM, follow its setup and activation instructions, then connect on arrival.
- An eSIM-capable, carrier-unlocked device is a hard prerequisite. The product page remains authoritative because activation triggers can differ by product.

## Plan interpretation

- Fixed-data families can include names such as Flexi, Essential, Ultra, Max, or Pro. Compare the actual variant's allowance and validity, not the family name alone.
- "Unlimited" is not a universal technical definition. Some SimCorner unlimited products advertise a daily high-speed allowance followed by reduced-speed data, while destination-specific products may use different rules. Quote the exact current fair-use terms.
- For multi-country travel, compare destination-specific plans with regional and global plans. A plan is eligible only when its coverage list contains every requested destination.
- Fixed plans may stop when the allowance is exhausted. Top-up availability varies by product.
- Data-only plans do not provide ordinary calls or SMS. Travellers can often keep their home number active for WhatsApp or similar apps, but must manage home-line roaming separately.

## Recommendation calculations

- `service days = inclusive end date - start date + 1` when the user supplies calendar dates and expects service on both boundary dates.
- `total trip cost = sum of all required plan prices × number of travellers`, unless a product explicitly supports shared use.
- A plan whose validity is shorter than the service period is ineligible unless a clearly explained multi-plan combination covers the full period.
- When a displayed price is in another currency, prefer switching to the buyer's storefront. If conversion is unavoidable, label the converted amount as an estimate, cite the rate source and time, and still show the original checkout currency.
- Compare sale price and ordinary price distinctly. Never imply a promotion will still exist at checkout.

## Minimum evidence per option

Record the exact product name, selected variant, allowance, validity, coverage, price, currency, plan restrictions, product URL, storefront, and verification date. If one of these cannot be confirmed, call it out instead of filling the gap from another plan.
