# MatchMyCrew product reference

## Core promise

MatchMyCrew helps productions find and compare creative-production talent worldwide:
photographers, cinematographers, videographers, drone/aerial operators, sound,
lighting, and other crew. Search is useful even when the client does not know the
exact service terminology.

## Current product model

- Clients search by service, skill, category, location, radius, availability,
  experience, language, and rating where supported.
- Providers create profiles with identity, location/service area, services, skills,
  experience, bio, languages, equipment/capabilities, price guidance, availability,
  portfolio media, verification status, and reviews.
- A public provider must be published and not suspended. The owning user must also be
  active/not suspended. These visibility conditions are enforced in server queries.
- The current communication primitive is a private inquiry. Do not call it a booking,
  confirmed job, or transaction.
- Provider verification is manual: verified account email plus a concise professional
  identity/evidence note reviewed by a moderator or admin. Identity-document files are
  not stored.

## Deferred scope

Booking workflows, payments, invoices/refunds, subscriptions/commissions, complex
project management, advanced real-time collaboration, and specialized search
infrastructure are future work. Architecture may leave room for them; product copy
must not claim they are available.

## Terminology and copy

Use “provider” for a listed professional, “crew” for the people/service category,
“profile” for the public provider page, “inquiry” for the private contact request,
“published” for public visibility, and “verified” only for the implemented
verification state. Prefer labels such as “Search”, “Create your profile”, and
“Available now”. Avoid vague “solutions”, “creatives”, or “talent marketplace” when a
more concrete term is available.
