# Auction Readiness Playbook Use this reference when helping a user choose or revise a campaign objective, budget period, campaign timing, or ad-group bidding strategy. It provides stable decision principles; live tools and current Help Center guidance own exact eligibility, limits, pacing rules, defaults, and monetary values. ## Balance Relevance And Economic Flexibility Delivery potential depends on both relevance and the ability to compete for eligible opportunities. Keep context hints, copy, creative, and landing pages aligned with the intended need, then choose budget and bidding controls that match the advertiser's business constraint. ## Choose The Budget Around The Spend Constraint - Prefer a daily budget for ongoing campaigns managed to an average daily spend and adjusted as performance develops. - Prefer a lifetime or campaign-total budget for a fixed promotion, a defined flight, or a strict total-spend constraint. - Align the schedule with seasonality, launches, promotions, and the period when the offer is actually available. ## Choose Bidding Around The Optimization Constraint - Recommend the matching automatic or maximize-results strategy when the advertiser wants the most eligible result volume from the approved budget and the live campaign setup supports it. - Recommend manual bidding only when the advertiser needs direct bid control or must operate against a specific efficiency constraint. - Explain that manual bidding needs ongoing monitoring and adjustment; a maximum bid is a control, not a promised clearing price or performance outcome. ## Keep Claims Bounded Explain recommendations as tradeoffs, not delivery guarantees. Do not invent a bid formula based on goal CPA, CPM, or CPC, or quote pacing multipliers, minimum budgets, or currency fallbacks from memory. Use the active workflow's live tool guidance and `$ads-manager-help` for current product details; within Help, use its Help Center guide directly. The owning workflow retains strategy eligibility, parent consistency, and write confirmation.
