# Transformation Lenses

Use these lenses to think through an adaptation. They are prompts for judgment, not fields
to fill. Record the outcome in the project Treatment before generating.

## Preserve the role, then recreate the form

Find what each reference event responds to and rebuild that relationship in the new script:
a portrait that appears when a player is introduced becomes a selection around the new
subject's introduction; a verdict stamp on a punchline becomes a moment on the new punchline.
The seconds will differ; the relationship stays.

Transform a role across all of its appearances. Before replacing an object, list where it
shows up: on camera, in B-roll, as an icon, inside a sticker, in the closing frame, in the
spoken claims. Half-replaced roles read as mistakes.

## Lenses

- **Subject or identity** — who carries the narrative and every place that identity appears;
a supplied portrait fixes appearance, not voice or delivery. A pet or a mascot expresses the
same confidence through pose, gaze and framing instead of copied human gestures.
- **Product or brand** — product truth, use, props, screens, logos, colours, proof, offer and
call to action; claims come from the user's allowlist, never from the reference's claims.
- **Script, language or call to action** — meaning, rhythm, on-screen wording, demonstrations
and the timing relationships that follow the new words. A translated punchline keeps its
position in the argument, not its syllable count.
- **Platform, duration or aspect** — which story functions survive, compress, expand or need
  a new layout when 9:16 becomes 16:9 or 60 seconds becomes 20.
- **Visual or tonal style** — art direction across generated shots, captions, titles, stickers
and music without erasing the structure that works.
- **Adding or removing a system** — if a board or a co-host disappears, redistribute its job
(comparison, reaction, proof) rather than leaving a hole.
- **Several references** — state which function each reference contributes and resolve
conflicts in the Treatment instead of blending surface details.

## Common requests

**"Make this with my face."** The jokes may already fit; bring the user into the camera image
with the reference's framing and room for graphics, and choose a voice for the new person. A
joke about the original presenter's appearance needs a new setup and payoff.

**"Use my product."** Keep the format (casual recommendation, skeptical partner, satisfying
demonstration) and let the script, action, imagery and call to action grow from what this
product actually offers. Supplied product images and screens establish appearance; the user's
facts establish claims.

**"Same video in another language."** Rewrite for the new language and audience, keep the
same anchors, generate the new performance, re-align. Captions and graphics re-flow on their
own. Continue in `../../pixverse-video-translate/SKILL.md` for the full contract.

## What a remake never does

It does not reuse the reference's footage, faces, music or logos without the user's rights; it
does not fabricate testimonials, results or comparisons; and it does not present the
reference's claims as the user's.
