# Terms of Use

These Terms apply to AWS CDK Project Init, its bundled files, and related documentation (together, the "Plugin"). By using or redistributing the Plugin, you agree to these Terms and the license included with it.

## 1. What the Plugin provides

The Plugin initializes an AWS CDK TypeScript project, adapts names to the requested project, installs dependencies, runs verification, and explains optional GitHub Actions deployment prerequisites. It is a downloadable workflow, not a hosted cloud service. No uptime, maintenance, compatibility, support-response, or service-level commitment is made.

## 2. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for reviewing generated code and commands, protecting credentials, confirming repository and AWS permissions, approving cloud changes, complying with organizational policies, and monitoring AWS or other third-party costs. The optional OIDC instructions apply only to automatic deployment through GitHub Actions. The Plugin does not authorize access to an AWS account or GitHub repository.

## 3. Third-party services and software

The Plugin relies on or interoperates with third-party software and services, including OpenAI products, GitHub, npm, AWS, AWS CDK, and the Traceability starter. Their separate terms, licenses, policies, availability, and charges apply. Referencing these products does not imply sponsorship or endorsement.

## 4. License and credit

The Plugin is licensed under the license included in the distribution. Preserve the required creator and Traceability starter attribution when redistributing it.

## 5. No warranties

THE PLUGIN IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ALL EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES ARE DISCLAIMED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, SECURITY, ACCURACY, AVAILABILITY, AND ERROR-FREE OPERATION.

## 6. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, LARS ANDERSSON AND CONTRIBUTORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, SECURITY INCIDENTS, OR AWS OR OTHER THIRD-PARTY CHARGES ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE PLUGIN OR ITS USE.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies a right, remedy, warranty, or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted, or modified.

## 7. Changes and contact

These Terms may be updated when the Plugin changes. Public, non-sensitive questions may be submitted at:
