Every competitor shows their own polished product shots. What if the proof is the users' own photography, at global scale? ## Mechanic Real user photos and videos selected from millions of submissions, placed on billboards, digital OOH, and media worldwide with the credit "Shot on iPhone by [name]." Users become the campaign. ## Why it worked User as co-author meets design as idea: UGC elevated to premium media placement changed the status of ordinary photos. The OOH context made amateur photography feel like gallery work. The brand disappeared — the proof took over. Running for 10+ years as a platform, not a campaign. ## Steal UGC placed on premium media changes the perceived status of that UGC. The medium legitimizes the content. If your product enables creation, make creators the campaign rather than demonstrating the product yourself. ## Related - Pattern: [[../MOC-pattern.md#p09]] - Sibling: [[red-bull-stratos-2012.md|Stratos]] - Sibling: [[snickers-hungerithm-2016.md|Hungerithm]] --- *Author: Serge Shima ([t.me/aimastersme](https://t.me/aimastersme) · [sergeshima.com](https://sergeshima.com) · [aimasters.me](https://aimasters.me)) · License: CC BY 4.0 — attribution required · Source: [smixs/creative-director-skill](https://github.com/smixs/creative-director-skill)*
