# Blind Man (Levi's · 1994)

## Insight

The power of 501s is so self-evident that even someone who cannot see them knows they're wearing something different. Desirability doesn't need to be visible to be real.

## Mechanic

A TV film in the BBH series: a blind man wearing 501s navigates his world while women respond to him with unmistakable attraction. The comedy and insight operate simultaneously — the jeans work even when the wearer cannot see their own effect. American period music, precise visual storytelling.

## Why it worked

P11 (absurd as carrier): the premise is gently absurd — jeans so powerful they transcend visibility — but it holds an emotional truth that audiences find genuinely funny rather than forced. P16 (long-form drama) gives the joke space to develop. The BBH Levi's series proved that a sustained creative platform can carry multiple comic variations without diluting the central idea.

## Steal

Take the product's benefit to its most extreme logical test case — what happens when all normal conditions are removed? If the benefit survives the extreme test, you've found a more interesting proof than any standard demonstration.
