# Dangerous Liaison (Levi's · 2011)

## Insight
Denim is about risk, sexuality, and freedom — not product attributes. A film that evokes those feelings without naming them will work harder than any product demonstration.

## Mechanic
A cinematic short film with strong visual and emotional storytelling — people, movement, desire — with Levi's present tonally but not centrally. P07 operates: the brand trusts its cultural recognition to carry the transfer.

## Why it worked
Levi's "Go Forth" campaign era established a territory of youth, grit, and emotional truth. Dangerous Liaison operated within that territory, using long-form film quality (P16) to signal that the brand takes its own aesthetic seriously.

## Steal
Build a strong advertising idea first, then execute long-form films as expressions of that idea — where the idea does the work and the product can recede.
