Six seconds of genuinely useful information — one clever trick, one real fix — makes it feel achievable. The constraint is the gift. ## Mechanic Lowe's became one of the first brands to use Vine's 6-second format intentionally as the idea, not just as a channel. Each clip was a complete home improvement tip — stop-motion animation, clear problem/solution structure, zero wasted seconds. The format limitation produced the content quality. ## Why it worked Most brands on new platforms try to adapt existing content. Lowe's recognised that Vine's six-second constraint was a creative brief, not a restriction. The format forced reduction to pure utility — which is the only thing a home improvement brand can credibly offer in six seconds. ## Steal When using a constrained format (Vine, Twitter, TikTok 15-second), treat the constraint as the creative brief, not a problem to work around. The best content in constrained formats is designed for the constraint, not despite it. ## Related - Pattern: [[../MOC-pattern.md#p09]] - Sibling: [[red-bull-stratos-2012.md|Stratos]] - Sibling: [[snickers-hungerithm-2016.md|Hungerithm]] --- *Author: Serge Shima ([t.me/aimastersme](https://t.me/aimastersme) · [sergeshima.com](https://sergeshima.com) · [aimasters.me](https://aimasters.me)) · License: CC BY 4.0 — attribution required · Source: [smixs/creative-director-skill](https://github.com/smixs/creative-director-skill)*
