--- id: types/law kind: type name: Law applies_to_kind: entity --- How the world works, stated by the narrator rather than believed by anyone. The body is narrator prose and is world-true as written (KERNEL §5): "debt binds persons only", "nothing answers prayer", "iron will not hold an edge here". Not doctrine — a doctrine is an `idea` somebody `holds`, and its content asserts nothing. Being typed rather than merely written, laws are findable by any lens, and like everything they decompose: corollaries and exceptions become `part_of` the law when someone writes them. A law that stands against the world's own rules carries `fiat: true`; a law does not otherwise need it.
