# <Brand> — product truth **This file is the single source of truth for what <Brand> is and does.** Nothing else — no skill, no copy guide, no format sheet — should assert product scope on its own. If a claim about the product is not here, it is not approved; if something here changes, it changes once. Sources: <where these facts were confirmed — the product's site, a founder conversation — and the date>. ## What it is <One paragraph in the product's own register: what it does, for whom, how. Use the words the product uses about itself.> ## What it is not The boundaries every piece of copy is checked against. Write down the things copy is tempted to imply and the product does not do — each one is a non-existent-functionality rejection waiting to happen: 1. **<It does not …>** <Why copy drifts there, and what the real pitch is.> 2. **<There is no …>** <A feature that sounds plausible and does not exist.> 3. **<It is not …>** <A category the product is adjacent to but not in.> ## Who it is for <The audiences, concretely: segments, situations, the job they are hiring the product for. Name proven acquisition segments and date the evidence.> ## The problem it solves <The daily pain in one or two sentences, from the customer's side.> ## Real features - <A feature, stated as the product ships it — not as a roadmap item.> - <Another.> - <Another.> ## Pricing **<price and cadence>**, <cancellation terms, setup time>. <The honest comparison to lean on — doing it yourself, hiring someone — with real numbers, not exaggerated ones. Note any sanctioned price framing here and point at the evidence in `history/` that sanctioned it.> ## Voice and positioning <Tone in three adjectives, then how it shows: the phrasing it uses, the numbers it cites (real ones only), the comparison it draws. What it never sounds like.> ## Related - [`compliance-overlay.md`](./compliance-overlay.md) — what this brand may not say, over and above platform policy.
