name: platform-and-variant-design
description: Adapt a logo or icon for app stores, favicons, avatars, dark mode, light mode, and small-size use.
---

Design a master mark first, then define responsive variants for square, horizontal, stacked, monochrome, light, dark, and transparent contexts. Preserve the visual idea while simplifying details that disappear at small sizes.

Recommend practical dimensions and safe padding for the requested destination. Distinguish source artwork from preview mockups. Do not promise that a platform will accept an asset without checking its current requirements.
