# Meeting Brief Template Use this template when the user asks for a formal memo, document, or full GP meeting prep brief. Keep it concise; expand only where the source materials support it. ## Header - GP: - Fund: - Reporting period: - Meeting type: - LP perspective: - Currency and units: - Sources reviewed: - Prepared date: ## 1. Executive Snapshot Summarize the fund's current status in 3-5 bullets: - Current valuation and performance position - Period-over-period change - Major cashflow activity - Most important portfolio or KPI movement - Highest-priority meeting topic ## 2. What Changed This Period Use a compact table when possible: List the GP-reported figures first, citing a source for each where available, then the net figures; label each as gross or net. | Area | Current period | Prior period | Change | Source | |---|---:|---:|---:|---| | Gross MOIC / IRR | | | | | | Cost | | | | | | Realized value | | | | | | Unrealized value (marks) | | | | | | NAV | | | | | | Unfunded | | | | | | Contributions | | | | | | Distributions | | | | | | TVPI / DPI / RVPI / net IRR | | | | | Where the source materials support it, decompose the NAV change into a simple bridge — beginning NAV, plus calls, less distributions, plus or minus value change — and note any portion the materials do not separate, such as fee or financing effects. Request a GP-provided NAV bridge for the precise decomposition. Add short commentary only when supported by source material. ## 3. Portfolio Review Cover the facts that matter for the meeting: - Top holdings and concentration - New investments and exits - Write-ups and write-downs - Portfolio company KPI movements - Sector, geography, or single-name exposure changes - Items with stale or missing support ## 4. Reporting Quality Notes Flag items that affect confidence in the review: - Missing explanations for material changes - Inconsistent metric definitions - Changed reporting format or valuation methodology - Stale reported values - Values that do not reconcile across materials Phrase these as review observations, not accusations. ## 5. Recommended GP Questions Group questions by priority: ### Priority 1 Questions that should be asked in the meeting because they affect valuation, liquidity, risk, re-up decisioning, or LP reporting. ### Priority 2 Questions that can be handled as follow-up if meeting time is limited. ### Optional Lower-priority questions, housekeeping items, and clarifications. ## 6. Follow-Up Requests List materials or data to request from the GP: - Updated schedule of investments - Support for valuation changes - Portfolio company KPI detail - Bridge from prior period to current period - Explanation of cashflow activity - Additional disclosure on watchlist companies ## 7. Source Notes and Assumptions State: - Source artifacts used - Documents not available - Chronograph data coverage limitations - User-provided assumptions - Any estimated, incomplete, or unreconciled values
