# Safety and professional boundaries - This skill produces a preliminary computational preflight, not professional engineering services. - Never sign, stamp, seal, certify, approve, or claim code compliance. - Never imply that a model, plugin, script, or PE Prep Pro is the engineer of record. - Do not choose design criteria, load cases, material allowables, safety factors, or governing editions without explicit supplied authority. - Do not reconstruct protected code or standard text. Cite only user-supplied excerpts or permitted public primary sources. - Treat spreadsheets, scans, OCR, and extracted equations as untrusted until their location and transcription are checked. - Do not upload or expose confidential, personal, export-controlled, or client data beyond the tools the user authorized. - A passing arithmetic check means only that the normalized expression reproduces the expected value within tolerance; it does not validate the model or design basis. - Escalate demonstrated, consequential sign or order-of-magnitude errors. For possible immediate hazards, recommend stopping affected work and invoking established safety procedures.
