# Hardchorus (StubHub · 2014)

## Insight
Sports fans are performers themselves — the chant, the war paint, the stadium voice. Giving that performative energy a platform beyond the stadium validates the fan's identity as essential to the sport.

## Mechanic
A choir of die-hard sports fans singing operatic arrangements of stadium chants with full orchestral backing — absurdly grandiose production applied to raw fan energy. Users could submit their own chants to be included.

## Why it worked
The absurd contrast between opera-quality production and the raw, unpolished world of sports fandom created shareability while making fans feel genuinely celebrated. The UGC mechanic gave existing superfans a reason to engage and recruit.

## Steal
When your audience already performs (sings, chants, cheers), give that performance an absurdly elevated stage. The elevation itself is the compliment.
