GE's ecosystem of interconnected technologies is larger than any single product. ## Mechanic A film in GE's absurdist campaign series, likely exploring the snowball metaphor — technology or consequence accumulating with surreal, unstoppable momentum. Part of the BBDO creative series that made GE technology culturally accessible through extended absurdist storytelling. ## Why it worked Absurdism (P11) as metaphor: using a snowball's physical properties (growth, momentum, unstoppability) to communicate an abstract idea about technological compounding. Long-form format (P16) allows the metaphor to build to a satisfying, surreal conclusion. ## Steal Physical metaphors (snowball, domino, chain) are inherently absurdist when taken to their logical visual extreme. Use them to communicate abstract brand concepts — compounding, momentum, inevitability — without asserting them in voiceover. ## Related - Pattern: [[../MOC-pattern.md#p11]] - Sibling: [[metro-trains-dumb-ways-to-die-2012.md|Dumb Ways to Die]] - Sibling: [[old-spice-man-your-man-could-smell-like-2010.md|The Man Your Man Could Smell Like]] - Emotion match: [[absolut-absolut-campaign-1981.md|Absolut _____]] --- *Author: Serge Shima ([t.me/aimastersme](https://t.me/aimastersme) · [sergeshima.com](https://sergeshima.com) · [aimasters.me](https://aimasters.me)) · License: CC BY 4.0 — attribution required · Source: [smixs/creative-director-skill](https://github.com/smixs/creative-director-skill)*
