# Publishing Diagnostic Fixes: 2.1.2 The publishing interface flagged insufficient brand-color contrast, skill interface configuration, and name/description normalization. These checks were not covered adequately by the previous local validator. - Plugin and skill accent: #12344A, measured 13.00:1 contrast against white, above the stated 2:1 publishing requirement. The square logo is unchanged. - Skill interface: added agents/openai.yaml with supported interface keys. - SKILL.md frontmatter: name and description only, with NFC normalization, trimmed values, single spaces, and no embedded newlines. - Version: 2.1.2. Website and optional tip jar remain https://ko-fi.com/quietengine. Both package validators and explicit assertions for all three supplied publishing diagnostics were run. Archive integrity, reference paths, and file hash inventory were rechecked. Actual publishing acceptance remains untested. No benefit-research behavior changed, so behavioral checks were not repeated. # Logo and Support-Link Update: 2.1.1 The uploaded reference was adapted with the built-in image-generation tool into a square flag-and-crossed-rifles emblem. The generated PNG is used for the listing logo and composer icon. The website, homepage, public descriptions, and internal support links now use https://ko-fi.com/quietengine. Final generation prompt: Preserve the vintage engraved flag and crossed-rifle identity; reshape the circular border into a square frame with gently rounded corners; center the composition, retain the original palette, improve small-icon clarity, and avoid added text or government affiliation marks. Both description fields include a polite optional tip-jar reference. The original support-message frequency rule remains in effect. This maintenance release changes branding and support links; the research workflow remains as reviewed in v2.1.0 below. Plugin/skill validators, square image checks, reference checks, archive integrity, and hash inventory were rerun. Behavioral tests were not repeated for this metadata and image update. Marketplace upload remains untested. # Release Review: 2.1.0 Reviewed September 10, 2026. Input: complete-veteran-benefits-plugin-v2.0.0.zip. ## Findings corrected | Finding in supplied release | Change | | --- | --- | | Long core repeated the playbooks | Condensed entry point with links to task-specific procedures | | Static DBQ catalog could become stale | Live directory discovery, public-availability handling, and focused routing cues | | Donation rule prohibited broad discussion of money | Explicitly scoped to project donations; original optional sentence retained | | Default authority ranking could obscure jurisdiction and interpretation | Replaced with forum- and period-aware authority relationships | | Appeals lacked sufficient evidence and notice distinctions | Added lane comparison, deadline research, Board/Court and adverse-action routing | | Back-pay and combined-rating checks were shallow | Added table/rounding, bilateral exception, historical rates and payment-period checks | | Record review did not define incomplete coverage | Added scope, unreadable-page, contradiction and page-reference handling | | Public-search privacy was underspecified | Added de-identified queries and treatment of embedded source instructions | | Listing could imply supplied live access | Clarified host tool requirements and no private-account connection | | Skill compatibility frontmatter failed the supplied skill validator | Moved requirements into ordinary text and retained supported metadata | ## Validation performed - Plugin manifest passed the supplied plugin-creator validator. - Skill frontmatter passed the supplied skill-creator validator after correction. - Relative Markdown references and manifest asset paths checked for existence. - For v2.1.0, both original PNGs opened successfully and the original logo was visually inspected. - JSON files parsed and version references checked for consistency. - Final ZIP tested for archive integrity, safe paths, duplicate entries, expected single plugin root, and presence of the hidden .codex-plugin directory. - SHA-256 and byte-count inventory regenerated for packaged files, excluding PACKAGE_MANIFEST.json itself. Archive contents compared with the inventory. ## Independent behavior checks A separate agent received the revised skill and two realistic requests without expected answers. Live browsing was intentionally unavailable in these checks. 1. Initial migraine denial plus a newly written nexus letter: correctly distinguished HLR's closed record, suggested a new-evidence route, preserved favorable findings, and did not invent an exact verified filing deadline. 2. Ratings of 60%, 40%, and 20%, plus a request to use today's rate for 2023: produced the provisional 80% combined result, disclosed lack of live table verification, and required historical payment periods and missing facts. These two observed checks were satisfactory. They do not establish performance across every benefit or future host model. The 16 additional behavioral scenarios in evals/activation-and-quality.json are regression specifications, not a claim that all 16 were executed. Automated skill activation was not tested. ## Official-source spot checks These sources were opened during this review. They support targeted corrections, not a comprehensive certification of every linked benefit or legal authority. - [VA public DBQs](https://www.benefits.va.gov/compensation/dbq_publicdbqs.asp): checked the live directory and public-availability limitation. - [VA HLR](https://www.va.gov/decision-reviews/higher-level-review/): checked closed-record and prior-review restrictions. - [VA Board Appeals](https://www.va.gov/decision-reviews/board-appeal/): checked docket and evidence-window distinctions. - [VA Supplemental Claims](https://www.va.gov/decision-reviews/supplemental-claim/): consulted official review guidance. - [CAVC appeal instructions](https://www.uscourts.cavc.gov/appeal.php): checked the distinct post-Board court-review process. - [38 C.F.R. § 4.25](https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-38/chapter-I/part-4/subpart-A/section-4.25): checked the table sequence and final-rounding example. - [38 C.F.R. § 4.26](https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-38/chapter-I/part-4/subpart-A/section-4.26): checked bilateral treatment and the paragraph (d) exception. The eCFR pages displayed coverage through September 8, 2026 at retrieval. One attempted § 3.104 page retrieval failed; that reference remains a research locator to verify when used, not a claim of completed live legal validation. ## Publishing limits No actual marketplace upload, public submission, or acceptance test was performed. Publisher identity, hosted privacy/terms pages, license terms, and any additional submission fields remain subject to the publisher's real details and the target platform. Local validation establishes package structure, not marketplace approval.
