The source index describes the catalog as 811 models and 241 apparatus items. Functional type filters are editorial classifications and do not necessarily reproduce that index split. Do not add the overlapping earlier ontology, pointers, or shared-spine references to the model total.

The exact current source is `data/complete-library.md`; `data/library.json` preserves its full text, SHA-256, entry source lines, and all navigation objects. Earlier `data/earlier-ontology.jsonld` and `.ttl` describe the 258-concept ontology, not the expanded 1,052-entry catalog. They remain useful for machine-readable comparison and must retain their scope.

## IDs and canonical homes

`BE-00-137` is Node-by-Node Correction in the consolidated core. `BE-M0137` is an earlier concept with a different definition. Similar source numbers are not identity evidence.

Preserve every requested ID when following a redirect. A canonical home is a source-designated consolidation, not proof that all earlier formulations are identical. The earlier Six Failure Families taxonomies contain meaningful differences retained in reference context.

A title match is an editorial comparison link. Shared threads are analytical navigation. Numbered references record source citations. Typed earlier-ontology links retain their asserted direction. Inspect definitions before combining their implications.

## Evidence status

Models, instruments, operating modes, maturity ladders, failure patterns, roles, and records do different work. Do not use a maturity label as a measured score or a role assignment as proof of capability.

Preserve compressed entries as compressed. An absent application or calibration is absent; do not silently supply it as source material. Earlier proposed syntheses remain proposed. Borrowed named laws retain attribution and applicability limits. A numeric formula does not establish universal validity.

The library is a framework source and a dated snapshot. Public company facts, product capabilities, rules, and prices require current verification. Cite retrieved source wording separately from the user's evidence and the analysis's inference. Multiple models resting on the same assumption are not independent votes.
