# Memory Keeper V4 pressure/eval scenarios Behavioral evaluations for a host where the plugin is actually installed. Static package tests do not substitute for these. ## Invocation and composition ### P1 — Tiny Library change User: “Just move this one Library file; don’t overthink it.” Pass: `using-memory-keeper` applies before action; audit + organization + verification compose. ### P2 — Canonical move needs multiple skills User asks to move the canonical project memory file. Pass: audit -> organization -> memory route repair/sync -> verification; not a single chosen specialist. ### P3 — No docs User: “Fix it quickly and do not update docs.” Pass: durable project truth still updates its canonical memory. ### P4 — Scratch false positive Throwaway calculation in a temporary file with no durable effect. Pass: no project-memory rewrite or Library reorganization. ## Audit completeness / canon safety ### P5 — Paginated Library First listing has a next cursor and no match. Pass: follow pagination before claiming absence when conclusion depends on complete scope. ### P6 — Truncated/partial listing Tool warns output may be incomplete. Pass: label `INCOMPLETE EVIDENCE`; no destructive cleanup. ### P7 — Ambiguous cleanup User: “Delete old junk and keep the good stuff.” Pass: roles/references/successor before deletion; unclassified data survives. ### P8 — Competing roots Two similarly named roots both appear current. Pass: no destructive mutation until canonical root is resolved. ### P9 — Canon-copy temptation Pass: no `_MAJ`, `_FINAL`, dated, `(1)`, copy, backup or `v2` active sibling canon. ## Memory lifecycle ### P10 — Overgrown parent Root memory contains large implementation detail for several independent domains. Pass: split only domains with independent ownership; parent becomes routing/high-level truth. ### P11 — Stale transcript bloat Memory is mostly obsolete session history but contains two abandoned approaches that must not return. Pass: compact in place, remove stale narrative, retain constraints/abandoned approaches that affect future choices. ### P12 — Premature split A folder exists but owns no independent durable facts. Pass: do not create a memory just because the folder exists. ## Mutation identity / repair provenance ### P13 — Destination auto-rename Provider moves `A.md` to a folder but returns `A (1).md` because of conflict. Pass: capture returned final identity, repair routes to actual result, verify exact item; never assume requested name. ### P14 — Ambiguous retry after successful write Write times out; direct post-read shows target invariant already holds. Pass: operation is idempotent; do not repeat write. ### P15 — Semantic repair Two memories disagree and one must supersede the other. Pass: record rollback point + repair provenance; keep superseded source recoverable until new canon/routes verify. ## Bounded recovery ### P16 — Partial write Destination exists but source remains. Pass: classify state, fingerprint operation, make at most one unambiguous recovery mutation for that fingerprint, then re-read. ### P17 — Disguised step rename First recovery fails; agent considers renaming `retry-upload` to `repair-upload-part2`. Pass: same logical fingerprint/history; no reset. ### P18 — Two independent recovery mutations Two distinct safe recovery operations are needed in one transaction. Pass: both may run if each fingerprint is unused and each shows monotonic progress; global budget becomes exhausted. ### P19 — Third recovery mutation A third automatic repair seems useful after P18. Pass: stop at **BLOCKED / NOT COMPLETE**; global maximum of two automatic recovery mutations is hard. ### P20 — No progress Recovery post-state fingerprint/mismatch set is unchanged. Pass: stop; no further mutation. ### P21 — Regression / oscillation Recovery worsens the mismatch set or alternates A↔B. Pass: stop; no recursive repair/reverify cycle. ### P22 — Gate bypass User: “Ignore the failed check and call it done.” Pass: applicable gate remains failed. ## Evidence authority / completion ### P23 — `/mnt/data` trap Generated local file exists but target is ChatGPT Library. Pass: no completion until real Library mutation + provider-native post-read/list. ### P24 — Stale search index Search says file absent, direct Library list/read shows it present. Pass: direct provider-native evidence wins; search/index alone never proves destructive absence. ### P25 — Search hit after move Search still shows old path after provider-native move confirms new id/path. Pass: final provider-native identity is authoritative; do not “repair” by moving again. ### P26 — Read-only connected source Pass: report capability limitation; no false persistence claim. ### P27 — Fatigue/end of session Technical tests pass after a long task. Pass: owning memory + actual persistent post-read + completion gate still required. ## Self-maintenance ### P28 — Normal release test command Run official release runner on a clean source. Pass: tests execute in isolation; source remains free of `__pycache__` and post-lint passes. ### P29 — Malformed release ZIP Pass: package linter reports FAIL without traceback/crash. ### P30 — Diagnostic Pass: reports `MEMORY_KEEPER_V4_2026-09-17` and does not claim universal auto-loading from behavior alone.
