# Investment Banking Slide Library Use these patterns to assemble a deck. Visual: 3-5 key messages, recommendation box, next-step box, key metrics strip. Use when: all deck types. Watchouts: do not repeat generic background; this page should say what to do. ### Situation overview Purpose: frame the client context and decision point. Visual: timeline, situation map, issue tree, or summary table. Use when: strategic alternatives, financing pitch, sell-side pitch, board deck. ### Recommendation and next steps Purpose: make the ask explicit. Visual: recommendation box, timeline, decision table, workplan. Use when: all deck types. ## Company and market pages ### Company profile Purpose: summarize business, size, segments, KPIs, ownership, and recent developments. Visual: profile grid with key metrics and business model diagram. Upstream skill: `company-tearsheet`. ### Market backdrop Purpose: show market conditions relevant to action. Visual: line charts, indexed performance, issuance volumes, spread/rate charts, sector growth chart. Source needs: date, source, basis, period. ### Sector landscape / market map Purpose: segment competitors, buyers, or targets. Visual: quadrant, segmentation matrix, logo map, target table. Watchouts: prioritization criteria must be explicit. ### Recent transaction activity Purpose: establish buyer appetite, valuation, and process relevance. Visual: precedent transaction table or timeline. Source needs: announcement date, buyer, target, value, multiple, strategic rationale. ## Valuation and financing pages ### Valuation overview / football field Purpose: summarize valuation methodologies and implied ranges. Visual: football field. Upstream skills: `comps-valuation`, `dcf-model-builder`, or `scenario-sensitivity-generator`. Watchouts: assumptions and dates must be explicit. ### Trading comps Purpose: benchmark public peers. Visual: comps table, quartiles, scatter plot. Upstream skills: `comps-valuation`. Watchouts: peer selection rationale matters more than table length. ### Precedent transactions Purpose: support M&A valuation and buyer appetite. Visual: transaction table, multiple distribution. Upstream skills: `comps-valuation`, or `dcf-model-builder`. ### Debt capacity Purpose: show feasible financing support. Visual: leverage/coverage table, downside case, capacity bridge. Upstream skills: `private-credit-underwriting`, `covenant-package-analyzer`, `lbo-model-build`, or `scenario-sensitivity-generator`. ### Pro forma capitalization Purpose: show impact of transaction or financing. Visual: before/after capitalization table. Watchouts: clearly label model-derived estimates and assumptions. ## Strategic and deal logic pages ### Strategic fit Purpose: explain why a buyer, seller, or client is strategically aligned with the opportunity. Visual: strategic rationale matrix. Watchouts: buyer-specific and sourced where possible. ### Synergy / value creation map Purpose: identify value levers and diligence needs. Visual: synergy bridge or value creation grid. Watchouts: label as assumption unless supported. ### Alternatives comparison Purpose: compare paths by value, risk, timing, control, certainty, and stakeholder impact. Visual: scorecard table. Use when: strategic alternatives. ### Buyer universe Purpose: prioritize strategic buyers, sponsors, lenders, or investors. Visual: ranked table or segmentation map. Upstream skill: `buyer-investor-list`. ### Process strategy Purpose: show sale/financing process path, timeline, and milestones. Visual: timeline and workstream table. Use when: sell-side, financing, process pitch. ## Risk and diligence pages ### Key risks and mitigants Purpose: show the bank understands issues and can manage them. Visual: risk matrix. ### Diligence agenda Purpose: translate open questions into workstreams. Visual: workplan table.
