# Before → After / 변화 전 → 변화 후 구조 - English name: Before → After - Korean name: 변화 전 → 변화 후 구조 - Selection category: change - Use when: Use when the strongest story is a clear before-and-after transformation. - Avoid when: Avoid when the middle process matters more than the contrast. ## Writing Pattern **Follow the criteria below to structure the sections** - Since the narrative contrasts before and after, the core is to show clearly “how things changed.” **Example narrative flow** - Why change was needed (the background) - Before state (problems, limits, constraints) - After state (results, improvements, reactions) - Key drivers of the change (how it changed) - Conclusion or next steps **Each major section should include** - Section heading - Core paragraph purpose (1–2 sentences) - Phrase messages so the before/after contrast is unmistakable, emphasizing positive effects of the change. - Describe the before state objectively—even if negative—and present the after state persuasively with quantitative or qualitative results. ## Example Writing Outline 1. **Why Change Was Necessary**: Low engagement and content fatigue made the existing online learning system ineffective. 2. **Before**: The system focused on one-way lectures and achieved only a 35% average completion rate. 3. **After**: Following the introduction of real-time interactive content, completion rose to 68% and satisfaction reached 4.5/5. 4. **Key Drivers of Change**: A full UX overhaul, interactive content, and real-time feedback were the main improvements. 5. **Conclusion and Proposal**: Designing for immersion is the key to better learning outcomes, and we should continue upgrading. ## Writing Notes - Use data or cases measured on comparable bases for before/after. - Examples include figures, ratios, reactions, and efficiency. - For the before state, don’t merely list flaws—explain persuasively why change was needed. - The after state should demonstrate meaningful progress or value uplift—not just minor improvements. - Close by answering why this change matters now or what comes next.
