# Mission

Acme Fitness exists so independent fitness studios — the one-room yoga lofts, climbing gyms,
and strength studios the big platforms treat as an afterthought — can run classes, members,
and money from one screen, without hiring an admin.

**Where we are (June 2026).** Three people, 30 paying studios, mostly Pacific Northwest,
growing by referral. Studios love the booking flow and leave over everything around it:
payments still happen in a second tool, onboarding takes over a week, and we learn about
member problems from churn emails instead of data.

**Strategy, in a paragraph.** Win the small-studio segment one metro at a time by being the
only tool a studio needs on day one. Depth over breadth: booking first, payments second,
everything else parked until a studio asks twice. Growth stays referral-led — our marketing
budget is studios telling other studios. We stay three people; AI does the building and the
bookkeeping, we do the deciding.

**Bets for 2026.**

1. **Payments is the moat.** A studio that runs its money through Acme doesn't churn over a
missing feature. This drives Q3's O2.
2. **Retention beats acquisition at our size.** Thirty studios that stay beat sixty that
cycle through. Instrument the member experience — no-shows, onboarding time — and fix
   what the data names.
3. **Stay small on purpose.** Three focused people with an AI coach out-decide a seed-funded
team of fifteen. The constraint is the strategy.
