A swear jar is an office institution — it's meant to reduce swearing by making it financially costly. What if the swear jar was redirected toward funding the best possible office outcome: Bud Light? ## Mechanic An absurdist office comedy: employees discover their accumulated swear jar funds are enough to buy Bud Light for the office. The film escalates as employees begin deliberately swearing more to accelerate the fund, corporate hierarchy collapses, and the transgression becomes the culture. A Super Bowl spot. ## Why it worked The premise inverts the behavioral intention of a swear jar — it's designed to reduce a behavior, but becomes an incentive to increase it when the prize is appealing enough. The office setting is universally legible; the escalation from rule-following to rule-breaking is a satisfying comic arc. Bud Light's brand positioning (social lubrication, lowering inhibitions) was embedded in the mechanic without any explicit claim. ## Steal Take a social institution designed to restrain behavior (swear jar, parking fines, chore chart) and identify what would happen if the reward for breaking the rule were appealing enough. The inversion of the institution is the comic premise. ## Related - Pattern: [[../MOC-pattern.md#p11]] - Sibling: [[metro-trains-dumb-ways-to-die-2012.md|Dumb Ways to Die]] - Sibling: [[old-spice-man-your-man-could-smell-like-2010.md|The Man Your Man Could Smell Like]] - Emotion match: [[absolut-absolut-campaign-1981.md|Absolut _____]] --- *Author: Serge Shima ([t.me/aimastersme](https://t.me/aimastersme) · [sergeshima.com](https://sergeshima.com) · [aimasters.me](https://aimasters.me)) · License: CC BY 4.0 — attribution required · Source: [smixs/creative-director-skill](https://github.com/smixs/creative-director-skill)*
