Shared moments of ordinary pleasure — including a cold drink — exist on both sides of disputed lines. ## Mechanic A film set at a geographical or political border, showing people from different sides sharing or connecting over a Coca-Cola. The drink functions as a universal social lubricant that transcends the political division. ## Why it worked Coca-Cola has built its brand around human connection for decades — the "Hilltop" tradition. The border setting makes the connection claim maximally legible by placing it against the strongest available symbol of division. The political charge is real enough to give the act of sharing weight. ## Steal When your brand stands for connection, stage the connection at the point of maximum disconnection. The contrast between the division (the setting) and the act (sharing) carries the argument without requiring any copy. ## Related - Pattern: [[../MOC-pattern.md#p16]] - Sibling: [[apple-1984-1984.md|1984]] - Sibling: [[apple-think-different-1997.md|Think Different]] --- *Author: Serge Shima ([t.me/aimastersme](https://t.me/aimastersme) · [sergeshima.com](https://sergeshima.com) · [aimasters.me](https://aimasters.me)) · License: CC BY 4.0 — attribution required · Source: [smixs/creative-director-skill](https://github.com/smixs/creative-director-skill)*
