Little Caesars' Hot-N-Ready model eliminates waiting entirely — the frustration of the alternative is the clearest argument for the product. ## Mechanic A TV spot dramatizing the absurdity of being kept on hold while trying to order pizza elsewhere, with Little Caesars' Hot-N-Ready positioned as the obvious escape. The hold music becomes the comedic antagonist. ## Why it worked The universal micro-annoyance of hold music is exaggerated to absurdist lengths, turning a minor friction point into a relatable problem with a clear solution. The simplicity of the Hot-N-Ready model doesn't need explanation when the alternative is this ridiculous. ## Steal Find the smallest, most universal friction in the category that your product eliminates. Amplify that friction to absurdity. The bigger the gap between the problem and the solution, the more persuasive the product benefit feels. ## Related - Pattern: [[../MOC-pattern.md#p11]] - Sibling: [[metro-trains-dumb-ways-to-die-2012.md|Dumb Ways to Die]] - Sibling: [[old-spice-man-your-man-could-smell-like-2010.md|The Man Your Man Could Smell Like]] - Emotion match: [[guinness-surfer-1999.md|Surfer]] --- *Author: Serge Shima ([t.me/aimastersme](https://t.me/aimastersme) · [sergeshima.com](https://sergeshima.com) · [aimasters.me](https://aimasters.me)) · License: CC BY 4.0 — attribution required · Source: [smixs/creative-director-skill](https://github.com/smixs/creative-director-skill)*
