Xbox's insight: fans of struggling real clubs in lower leagues are as passionate and knowledgeable as fans of elite clubs — and they have the same relationship to their club in career mode as their club's actual management has in reality. ## Mechanic A campaign framing FIFA fans as "franchisees" of their own gaming clubs — recognising and celebrating the depth of knowledge and investment that FIFA career mode requires. Social content, challenges, and recognition built around this "fanchise" frame. ## Why it worked P09 (user as co-author): the audience's existing gameplay becomes the campaign content. P05 (cultural hijack) of football management culture, applied to gaming. The "Fanchise" pun is functional — it positions Xbox as understanding the depth of commitment gaming requires, not just the casual experience. ## Steal When your audience takes your product more seriously than you market it, catch up. Find the deepest, most committed use case and make that the default frame for your communication. The serious user feels seen; the casual user aspires to become them. ## Related - Pattern: [[../MOC-pattern.md#p09]] - Sibling: [[red-bull-stratos-2012.md|Stratos]] - Sibling: [[snickers-hungerithm-2016.md|Hungerithm]] --- *Author: Serge Shima ([t.me/aimastersme](https://t.me/aimastersme) · [sergeshima.com](https://sergeshima.com) · [aimasters.me](https://aimasters.me)) · License: CC BY 4.0 — attribution required · Source: [smixs/creative-director-skill](https://github.com/smixs/creative-director-skill)*
