# Presentation mode: Workshop Canvas **Identifier:** `workshop` **Use with:** proposition sketch, mechanism board and occasionally product storyboard Use this mode when the artefact is primarily something a group will alter, rearrange and negotiate around. Its visual incompleteness should make participation feel legitimate. ## What changes - Break the content into independent editable clusters with generous working space. - Make actors, ownership, disagreements, assumptions and missing links easy to mark. - Show genuine alternatives rather than polishing one route into apparent inevitability. - Use clean linework, typed labels and restrained emphasis; avoid fake sticky-note clutter. - Keep the title, provoking question and truth note from the Editorial Instrument house style, but let the working area dominate. ## Reference needs Ask about the workshop setting or participants only when that changes what must be movable or challengeable. An aesthetic reference is normally unnecessary. ## Reject when - the composition is so presentation-perfect that edits feel like damage; - important labels are flattened or locked; - the board imitates a workshop without enabling meaningful rearrangement; or - the user needs to experience a real product interaction rather than discuss its structure.
