Boost Mobile's stores were already located in underserved Black communities. The stores could do something about it. ## Mechanic Boost Mobile converted its retail stores in underserved communities into polling stations for the 2020 US election. The brand literally used its physical footprint to expand voting access — becoming infrastructure for civic participation. ## Why it worked Brand as activist (P04): the action was structural, not symbolic — stores became polling stations, not billboards about voting. User as co-author (P09): the community participated by voting; the brand provided the mechanism. The connection between the brand's actual asset (stores in underserved areas) and the social problem (voting access) was airtight. ## Steal Identify what physical or operational asset your brand owns that could solve a real civic or community problem. The most credible activism converts existing brand infrastructure into social good — not a check or a campaign, but actual function. ## Related - Pattern: [[../MOC-pattern.md#p04]] - Sibling: [[nike-dream-crazy-2018.md|Dream Crazy]] - Sibling: [[the-zimbabwean-trillion-dollar-campaign-2008.md|Trillion Dollar Campaign]] --- *Author: Serge Shima ([t.me/aimastersme](https://t.me/aimastersme) · [sergeshima.com](https://sergeshima.com) · [aimasters.me](https://aimasters.me)) · License: CC BY 4.0 — attribution required · Source: [smixs/creative-director-skill](https://github.com/smixs/creative-director-skill)*
