# Endless Stories (Getty Images · 2019)

## Insight
Every image in Getty's library is a story that hasn't yet been told by the person who will eventually use it — the same photograph carries entirely different meanings depending on the context, the editorial decision, and the viewer.

## Mechanic
A film demonstrating how a single Getty image can be assigned radically different meanings, contexts, and stories depending on how it's used. A continuity of image through multiple narrative recontextualisations — the same face, the same scene, telling completely different stories.

## Why it worked
User as co-author (P09): the film made visible the creative power that every Getty customer actually holds — the ability to assign meaning to an image. The insight is about authorship: Getty doesn't sell pictures, it enables stories.

## Steal
Product brands that enable creative work can demonstrate the range of that enablement by showing the same asset transformed by different choices. The product's power is measured by the range of stories it can carry.
