Samsung phones are tools for that performance as much as for actual work. ## Mechanic A comedic film depicting an absurdist spiral of "busy" — a character whose busyness escalates to absurd extremes, each device feature enabling further performative occupation. The humour targets the self-aware viewer who recognises themselves in the satire. ## Why it worked P11 (absurd as carrier) let Samsung poke at the exact behaviour its product enables — a rare instance of a tech brand owning the cultural critique of tech use with enough self-awareness to be charming rather than defensive. The self-referential quality made the ad shareable. ## Steal If your product enables a behaviour that culture simultaneously celebrates and mocks, address both sides at once. The self-aware brand that says "we know what you do with our product" earns more trust than the brand that only shows idealized use. ## Related - Pattern: [[../MOC-pattern.md#p11]] - Sibling: [[metro-trains-dumb-ways-to-die-2012.md|Dumb Ways to Die]] - Sibling: [[old-spice-man-your-man-could-smell-like-2010.md|The Man Your Man Could Smell Like]] - Emotion match: [[guinness-surfer-1999.md|Surfer]] --- *Author: Serge Shima ([t.me/aimastersme](https://t.me/aimastersme) · [sergeshima.com](https://sergeshima.com) · [aimasters.me](https://aimasters.me)) · License: CC BY 4.0 — attribution required · Source: [smixs/creative-director-skill](https://github.com/smixs/creative-director-skill)*
