# Aircraft categories — charter cheat sheet

| Piston | 2–6 | Short hops; small airfields |
| Turboprop | 4–9 | Short regional hops; small airfields |
| Entry level jet (VLJ) | 4–6 | Compact jets; short hops at jet speed |
| Light jet | 5–7 | 1.5–3 hour flights; small groups |
| Super light jet | 5–7 | About 3 hour flights; light-jet group size with added cabin space and range |
| Midsize jet | 6–7 | 3–4 hours nonstop; mid-size cabin and baggage space |
| Super midsize jet | 7–9 | 4–5 hours nonstop; stand-up cabin; transcontinental capable |
| Heavy jet | 8–16 | 5+ hours nonstop; large cabin; international trips |
| Ultra long range | 8–19 | 10+ hour intercontinental nonstop flights |
| Helicopter | 5–8 | Short point-to-point transfers; city and airport connections |

Notes

- Passenger counts above are the maximum quoted for each category, not the
  airframe's manufacturer seat count. Offer a category only for groups within
  the number shown here, and quote these figures, not seat counts from general
  aircraft knowledge; they are the capacities the platform sells.
- From-prices rise with category size; the results widget shows live from-prices per category for the searched route.
- Instant quotes cover aircraft up to 16 seats. Parties of 17 or more are quoted personally by the charter team through the Inquire flow; that is the standard handling for those groups, not an error or a route limitation.
- Category availability varies with live operator inventory on each route and date, so a specific aircraft is confirmed only through the inquiry.
