# Motion transfer

1. Use the `motion_transfer` tool: `image_url` is who performs; the motion to copy is exactly one of `video_url` or `sample`.
2. Get the character image (full or half body, framed like the motion clip; no face close-up for full-body motion) and the motion clip (one continuous take, performer visible throughout, no cuts) in one message via `ask_for_media`, `prepare_upload`, or earlier output urls.
3. For a stock motion instead, call `list_presets` for `motion_transfer` (collection `samples`) and pass the picked id as `sample`.
4. Pick `model`:
   - `kling/kling-3.0/motion-control` (default): `character_orientation` `video` follows the clip's motion up to 30 s, `image` keeps the image's framing up to 10 s; `audio` `original` or `off`; `resolution` `720p` or `1080p` (default). Fast or complex motion may distort or come out shorter.
   - `pika/pika-3.0/reference-to-video`: `resolution` `720p` (default) or `960p` take clips up to 20 s, `1440p` up to 10 s.
   An optional `prompt` adds direction.
5. Call `motion_transfer` with a fresh `request_id` and no `max_credits`, then follow the quote's `next` (it applies the user's approval mode). On a yes, call it again with the same input and `request_id` and the agreed `max_credits`.
