# Evidence safety

## Evidence record

Every reusable claim has:

- Stable evidence ID.
- Claim text and safe wording.
- Source type and source name.
- Exact supporting excerpt or user confirmation note.
- Confidence: `source_only`, `user_confirmed`, or `externally_corroborated`.
- Restrictions and unsafe extrapolations.
- Relevant role families.
- Date captured or confirmed.

## Source types

- `current_cv`
- `historical_cv`
- `user_confirmed`
- `uploaded_evidence`
- `external_source`

A claim extracted from a CV starts as `source_only`, even when written confidently in the CV. Never label it independently verified without corroborating evidence.

When multiple CVs are supplied, retain the exact source document for each claim. Do not combine conflicting versions into a stronger composite claim. Ask which version is current, then record the answer as user-confirmed evidence or a dated correction.

Job descriptions, recruiter copy and search-result patterns are market evidence, not candidate evidence. They may guide role targeting or suggest questions, but they may never be copied into the candidate ledger as experience, tools, ownership or achievements.

## Claim rules

- Preserve exact metrics, scope and ownership.
- Do not convert exposure into expertise.
- Do not convert participation into leadership.
- Do not add tools because they appear in a job description.
- Do not infer citizenship, clearance, licences or work rights.
- Do not imply a product is launched when the evidence says beta, prototype or being built.
- When wording is ambiguous, weaken it or ask the user.

## Tailored documents

Every summary sentence, role-match bullet, experience bullet, qualification and material cover-letter proof needs at least one evidence ID. Skills may be grouped only when each skill is supported by evidence.

Future-oriented contribution paragraphs may be evidence-free only when clearly framed as a proposed approach rather than a past achievement.
