# Terms of use

Effective date: 2026-07-22

By using Canonical Memory Verifier, you agree to use it only on files and
bundles you are authorized to access and in accordance with applicable law and
the host product's terms.

The software is licensed under the Apache License, Version 2.0. It is provided
on an "AS IS" basis, without warranties or conditions of any kind. See
[LICENSE](LICENSE) for the complete license terms.

The verifier checks conformance to a candidate data contract. It does not prove
that a source is true, provide a security audit, sanitize prompt injection,
grant or enforce runtime authority, or replace the host platform's approval and
execution controls. A successful result must not be treated as permission to
perform an external action.

The publisher may change or discontinue future versions. Material changes to
these terms will be documented with a new effective date.
