# Furniture and clearance evidence

Preserve exact product width/depth/height, original units, intended pose, and requested clearances. A general furnish request permits sensible design choices; a question about a specified real product does not permit resizing that product until it fits.

For an imported/photo-generated model, distinguish the asset's initial scale from the physical product. Correct units/scale to authoritative product measurements and verify the actual applied dimensions. A visually similar model, a finished import job or an AI render cannot establish physical size. Keep any missing decisive product dimension explicit.

Read actual loaded model geometry in 3D with `editorInspectObjects(fields=[geometry,properties])`. Nominal catalog dimensions, transformed bounds, and mesh geometry are different evidence. `frontDirection=null` means the model's front is unknown; inspect one instance at a known heading before duplicating it.

If inspection reports `bounds:null`, `model_3d_required` or pending readiness, obtain a ready 3D preview and then inspect the relevant object again. A later preview does not retroactively populate an earlier inspection. Do not report a precise gap from that earlier response or from a screenshot estimate.

For a verified axis-aligned rectangular interior and a loaded transformed furniture box, retain a side-specific ledger in centimeters:

- west = furniture min X − interior min X;
- east = interior max X − furniture max X;
- north = furniture min Y − interior min Y;
- south = interior max Y − furniture max Y.

For a simple equal-wall rectangle, an inner rectangle centered on the room outline can be inferred from both opposing native usable spans and corroborating flooring area. Do not use this assumption for unequal/irregular walls or substitute the path bounds. Use available arithmetic tools for the ledger, compare the unrounded minimum with the requested threshold, and round only for display. Report the minimum and its side when that answers the request; give a range only if all values establishing that range were actually calculated. These are static box-to-wall gaps, not mesh-exact or circulation certification.

Use the current spatial validator for existing objects. Read its checked and not-checked coverage and every relevant warning, unloaded ID, and omitted count. A clean scene that does not contain a proposed item does not validate that item. Do not insert a temporary object into a read-only assessment just to manufacture evidence.

If no candidate tool is advertised, exact supplied dimensions and a measured room boundary can support a labeled preliminary calculation. Missing scale or a decisive dimension blocks that conclusion; request only the missing evidence. An irregular room requires polygon containment, not its bounding rectangle alone.

Keep these conclusions separate:

| Claim | Evidence needed |
| --- | --- |
| Tested footprint contained | Actual transformed footprint against usable interior boundary at the specified pose. |
| Item spacing | Distances/overlap against the relevant nearby objects at the requested gap. |
| Wall clearance | Actual inner wall faces or native usable dimensions; room outline containment alone is insufficient. |
| Door access | Modeled opening, direction, operating envelope, and route; validator reports this as unchecked. |
| Height | Measured clear floor-to-obstacle height over this pose; nominal wall height is insufficient. |
| Delivery | Separate route dimensions and packaging/assembly assumptions. |

Return the narrowest supported verdict and the missing check that matters to the request. Do not add a Pascal precheck link or send measurements to another service: Planner5D work does not authorize that transfer.
