# Terms and usage overview **English** · [한국어](TERMS.ko.md) · [日本語](TERMS.ja.md) · [简体中文](TERMS.zh-CN.md) · [Русский](TERMS.ru.md) Effective date: **2026-08-19** This is a concise public-review companion to the detailed, authoritative [English Terms and Usage Notice](../TERMS.md). The untranslated [MIT License](../../LICENSE) governs the software and controls if any summary or translation differs. Adaptive Codex Orchestrator is an independent, community-created developer tool. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, or an official product of OpenAI. Product names identify third-party compatibility targets only. The `MIT License` grants the stated rights to use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense, and sell copies. This notice does not narrow those rights. Applicable copyright and license notices must be preserved in modified or redistributed copies, and distributors must not imply official affiliation. Users remain responsible for reviewing prompts, worker contracts, generated code, delegated changes, and validation evidence; selecting permissions and whether to trust hooks; protecting credentials and private data; testing before integration, deployment, or release; obtaining required organizational, legal, security, privacy, licensing, regulatory, and third-party approvals; and following the host and selected-model terms. Do not use this tool as the sole reviewer or decision-maker for destructive, authentication, authorization, cryptographic, safety-critical, regulated, production-incident, migration, or other high-impact work. Parent ownership of final judgment is a policy, not a guarantee of safe model output. Third parties control model names and availability, quotas, hook events, schemas, and host features. No particular worker model, performance gain, uninterrupted operation, correctness, security, compliance, or fitness for a particular purpose is promised. The software carries the warranty disclaimer in the `MIT License`; this documentation is not legal advice. The local/offline implementation boundaries are summarized in [Privacy](PRIVACY.md) and [Security](SECURITY.md), but do not govern separate host, model-provider, operating-system, Git, or extension behavior. Control commands are recognized in Korean and English only. These translations do not add Japanese, Simplified Chinese, or Russian command support.
